# React to comment

`react_to_comment`

React to a comment as the user, as the reaction button in the comment panel does. `emoji` is an icon name from HERO's icon picker, e.g. ThumbsUp, Check, CircleCheck, Heart, Star, Sparkles, Flag, TriangleAlert, Eye, Lightbulb, Trophy, Handshake, CircleX; a common emoji works too. Reacts to the thread's opening comment unless commentId names another; remove: true takes the user's reaction away. A resolved thread takes reactions too.

## Parameters

**documentId** `string` *required*

The HERO document.

**threadId** `string` *required*

The comment thread, from list\_comments.

**commentId** `string`

A comment in the thread, from list\_comments.

**emoji** `string` *required*

An icon name, e.g. ThumbsUp, Check, CircleCheck, Heart, Star, Sparkles, Flag, TriangleAlert, Eye, Lightbulb, Trophy, Handshake, CircleX.

**remove** `boolean`

Take the reaction away instead.
